“Everyone was very kind and the cottage was very clean. towels plush. I would suggest a few things for future guests. Please make note that cottage, although as close as you can get to the beach, the huge dune blocks the view. By looking at website, I had no idea I wouldn't see the ocean. The photos appear to have the dune but you cannot tell it is a big mound. Not the same as the north side of the pier. It really was a disappointment for my trip. The sheets are pretty thin. I would upgrade on that and also if you could convert some of the plugs to 3 prong and move the microwave to a little stand, it would give more room on the counter. Adding some hooks for jackets or towels on porch or by inside of side door would be more convenient. Also the keys I was issued do not open all the locks. Of the 3 keys, only 1 works and if the deadbolt is not undone before you leave, you can't get back in without calling for help. Glad it wasn't late! We would have had to sleep in the car. overall we enjoyed the quaint cottage.”

“Excellent experience at this property, where my group of four rented 2 cottages just steps from the beach. They were clean, well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and it was great hearing the ocean at night and smelling the salty air. Renting a cottage (vs hotel or airbnb) was a first first for us, and we immediately experienced the charm of it. We made our own meals, entertained our relatives who live in the area, and watched TV together. The weather didn't cooperate but that's how it goes sometimes. We highly recommended The Gull! I want to give a special thank you to manager Molly and all her friendly staff for taking ownership of a problem involving new parking policies recently implemented by the town. The hotel hadn't caught up yet with warning guests about it and we were ticketed. But Molly showed she understood the importance of an excellent guest experience and took care of it. As a result, we are looking forward a future stay at The Gull, hopefully with better weather next time!”

“Our Family has been Staying at the Gull since the late 1990's and 2025 was also an Excellent Experience! We would like to Recognize Jeff, the Long-time Maintenance Employee Who Has Always been Helpful During Our Stays at the Gull. We have Known Jeff Prior to the Current Acquisition of Beach properties, and it was Great to see Him again! The Gull House Keeping Staff and Front Office Staff at the Waves have Always been Very Responsive and Helpful During our Stay. We Hope to Return to the Gull in 2026! Thank You, Sincerely Mark and Gail R.”

“Amazing time at the gull! Perfect room for my husband and I, cute kitchenette, minutes to the beach and less than 10 minute walk to the pier. Close enough to the hustle and bustle for a fun night out, but quiet enough to enjoy your day.”

“Price was very reasonable, and the location was great. Steps from the beach! The room was very clean which, given the likely steady influx of sand from guests, was impressive. The furnishings felt a mix of old and new in a way that I think worked. The shower and bed looked newer and in good condition. (You sleep well and shower well) The tables and other furnishing looked older but in good shape which gave it a vintage aesthetic - which works if you want a slightly nostalgic beachside getaway. The rooms are small but have a nice front entrance to facilitate beach access. They also make great use of the space so the feel is cozy and not crowded. Very good for a couple but likely too small for a family.”

“A lovely getaway. Perfect location. Rooms are nice. It’s clean. Could be a little cleaner but it’s a big beach house so…. The porch and yard are nice bonuses. No room amenities like coffee. That’s downstairs in the common area.”
